This key hire marks a strategic move as Bidwells continues to expand and strengthen its focus on asset management, a core component of its long-term growth plans to double the size of the business by 2030, a goal announced earlier this year.
Jo Hawkings joins from the role of Director at Pembroke where she focused on improving processes, systems, and enhancing asset management operations to optimise performance for clients. Hawkings has accrued experience in real estate investment, fund management, capital transactions, and asset management.
After achieving a degree in investment and finance at the University of Reading, Hawkings worked for industry giant CBRE and relocated to Sydney, Australia. There, she worked for local agency before taking a role with DEXUS, one of Australia’s largest REITs, to gain experience in buying, selling, and managing high-value portfolios.
In her new role at Bidwells, Hawkings will be responsible for the strategic asset management of the prestigious Trinity College endowment portfolio, while also playing a pivotal role as a member of Bidwells’ Senior Management Team within the Investment and Property Management Group.
Ian Gatiss, Head of Investment and Property Management said:
“The appointment of Jo further solidifies our commitment to expanding and enhancing our asset management capabilities. Her extensive experience across both UK and international markets, particularly in capital transactions and asset management, will bring a new level of strategic insight to our team. At Bidwells, we pride ourselves on delivering proactive, risk-mitigating solutions that adapt to changing market conditions, and Jo’s experience will be instrumental in helping us continue to outperform industry benchmarks as we grow."
Jo Hawkings, Partner at Investment and Property Management said:

From early on in my career, Bidwells always stood out to me due to its unique approach to asset and property management. The company’s focus on adaptability and proactive risk management aligns perfectly with my own experience and methods, and I am eager to support the team and help drive forward the vision for sustainable, long-term success.”
Hawkings is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and serves on its Professional Group Panel for commercial property. She is set to chair the RICS Commercial Property Conference on 10th December.
