Doug works within Bidwells' agriculture and environment team, providing a farm management and/or consultancy service to clients whilst also offering strategic advice to the farming sector.

He also deals with Basic Payment and Environmental/Countryside Stewardship scheme applications.

In addition, Doug is Bidwells' rural department's Business Manager, helping to advise others in managing their client portfolios from a finance perspective, including implementation of Terms of Business, financial forecasting, budget management, billing, and profitability performance.

In addition, he is a part-time writer for Cambridge United Football Club and appears regularly on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire as a sports pundit. Since the 2012/13 season, Doug has been co-commentating on all live Cambridge United matches, home and away for the BBC, in addition to conducting all post-match manager and player interviews.
