Since committing to a programme of actions to progress EDI in 2021, we have invested in developing our awareness and understanding of EDI through seeking strategic guidance from experts in the field, actively seeking the input of those with lived experiences in our firm and working to upskill our people on EDI matters.

Through CPD sessions and launching our coffee break series, we’ve been able to share insights and lived experiences of diverse people in our business and further afield.

Establishing our women’s leadership group was a strategic initiative to empower current and future female leaders in addressing the challenges that research indicates women in business frequently encounter.

The recent launch of our new mission, vision, and values highlights that at Bidwells, people have always been at the heart of our business with our strong ethos driving our success.

Looking ahead, our journey towards creating a more inclusive workplace will be guided by our reinvigorated core values, which emphasise the importance of creating an environment where all individuals feel empowered to connect with others to do their best and most innovative work, leaving a lasting positive impact on our clients and the communities we operate in.

We continue to seek input from experts and those in our business who have lived experiences. Recently, we launched an EDI ambassadors programme.

Their experiences and findings are reported to Main Board through our B at Bidwells committee. The purpose of our B at Bidwells committee is to improve the working lives and engagement of all current and future people of Bidwells with EDI being a key pillar of that mission. Our vision for 2030 sees us focusing on increasing diverse talent, improving our inclusive culture and strengthening a fully inclusive approach to the leadership and governance of our firm.
