Wellbeing

At Bidwells, our goal is to cultivate a healthy working environment and culture that fosters the physical, mental, financial and social wellbeing of everyone who works with us.

We are committed to ensuring that our people feel supported, valued, and empowered to prioritise their wellbeing, both inside and outside the workplace.

Our wellbeing program, BWell, launched in Spring 2018, reflects this commitment to a healthy and supportive workplace. Through BWell, we offer a variety of initiatives and resources designed to promote overall wellbeing.

Our People Team works closely with our Be at Bidwells committee that is passionate about the wellbeing of our people.  BWell is about raising awareness of conditions, how we can support people inside and outside the firm, , promoting healthy lifestyles, and encouraging positive mental health practices throughout the firm. We run an annual BEmpowered Week during the winter, a dedicated time where we empower our employees to take ownership of their wellbeing, utilising the comprehensive range of services and resources we offer.

We have a BWell Hub, accessible via our intranet, and serves as a centralised resource for employees to find all the information they need about the support available to them. This includes guidance on emotional and physical health, self-care, legal and financial health, and family and relationship advice. The hub helps ensure that everyone knows where to turn for help and can easily access the support services they need.

Our approach to wellbeing is further supported by a suite of policies designed to promote best practices in the workplace and provide robust support for our employees. These include our overarching wellbeing policy, as well as specific policies on stress, disability and chronic illness, financial wellbeing, infectious diseases, menopause and menstruation, fertility leave, carers leave, and various other family-friendly policies.
